Senior Engineer, Backend Engineering (Portfolio Management)

Human Interest is looking for a Senior Engineer in Backend Engineering to lead challenging technical projects within an agile team framework. You will help build the next-generation financially scalable engine focusing on retirement savings.

Skills

  • Experience in building scalable backend services
  • Experience scaling database platforms
  • Strong desire to learn and mentor other engineers
  • Ability to write clean, performant, maintainable, testable code

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain software for processing and recording customers' retirement savings
  • Improve processes and systems for robustness, performance, and reduced human intervention
  • Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to share knowledge and build expertise
  • Write clean, high-quality code and automated tests
  • Delight internal and external stakeholders

Education

  • Formal training in computer science or related discipline (Bachelors or Masters preferred)
