Senior Engineer, Backend Engineering (Portfolio Management)

Human Interest is looking for a Senior Engineer in Backend Engineering to lead challenging technical projects within an agile team framework. You will help build the next-generation financially scalable engine focusing on retirement savings.

Skills

Experience in building scalable backend services
Experience scaling database platforms
Strong desire to learn and mentor other engineers
Ability to write clean, performant, maintainable, testable code

Responsibilities

Build and maintain software for processing and recording customers' retirement savings
Improve processes and systems for robustness, performance, and reduced human intervention
Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to share knowledge and build expertise
Write clean, high-quality code and automated tests
Delight internal and external stakeholders

Education

Formal training in computer science or related discipline (Bachelors or Masters preferred)
