Overview:
SPAR Canada, a global leader in retail merchandising is growing! We are hiring a Human Resources Coordinator to work in our Vaughan office on a hybrid work schedule. You will have proven experience in recruitment and onboarding; human resources generalist duties; health and safety administration and you will possess strong administration and organizational skills. Responsibilities include supporting recruitment and onboarding using an ATS system; administration of health and safety programs; and employee engagement and retention. To be successful, you must be organized, deadline-driven, adept in excel, Google sheets, and have experience with HRMIS and ATS systems.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform human resources generalist administration support for all human resouces competencies including recruiting, onboarding, health & safety programs and employee engagemnt and retention. You will need to be a strong administrator who is detail-oriented with a keen recruiting ability. Well-honed organization, problem-solving and time management skills are a must. Position reports to Director.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Review and evaluate applications to identify qualified candidates.

Conduct initial screenings to assess applicants' qualifications and suitability.

Select candidates for shortlisting and presenting to Hiring Manager.

Schedule and track background checks for employees.

Send offer documentation to new hires; collect signed paperwork; and create online employee files.

Verify employee documents ensuring compliance with the SPAR’s onboarding requirements.

Assign and track relevant health and safety courses to new employees ensuring adherence to safety training requirements and maintain accurate safety training records.

Provide letters of confirmation of employment.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS-EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

College and/or University degree required

Minimum one to three years Human Resources generalist experience

Minimum of one to two years of recruiting experience

ATS or HRMIS experience
-
Exceptional organizational, communication and administration skills

Expertise using Excel, Google Sheets, Teams and PowerPoint

Abiity to speak and write French an asset
