Working at Sephora for 16 years, I've always felt valued by everyone who works here. If you're not used to a fast paced environment, it can feel challenging at times. It's all about time management and collaboration with your supervisor.

Challenge racial bias in retail

We recognize that racial bias exists, and at Sephora we are committed to doing all we can to ensure that the customer experience is never impacted by it. To better equip ourselves with the knowledge and insights needed to tackle this issue, we commissioned the first-ever large-scale study on Racial Bias in Retail today. Based on this research, we are implementing an action plan aimed at mitigating racially driven bias and negative experiences in the retail environment.

Latest update: We recently rolled out our complete study results to clients and colleagues in the retail industry. In Sephora stores, we’ve begun to implement an extensive set of research-driven changes—from staff training to updating our loss prevention standards to monitoring incidents of racial bias and improving client service. Located at the heart of San Francisco, our corporate headquarters acts as a field support center, serving as the backbone of all our stores nationwide. We are constantly working with our stores and brand partners to develop innovative strategies for long-term growth and success.

Distribution

Behind the scenes of Sephora’s stage, our distribution centers ensures optimal productivity in our business process. With over 14,000 products from more than 200 world-class brands including makeup, skin care, perfume, hair care, body, professional tools, and more, Sephora’s distribution teams are the key to keeping our operations smooth and efficient.

Thousands of products pass through our distribution center each day to arrive at our stores and the hands of our clients.   • Classes for Confidence: We stand with those facing major life transitions. By providing specialized beauty classes for women re-entering the workforce, our hope is to inspire confidence in 100,000 women through this program by 2020.
  • Sephora Stands Together: We are a Sephora family, and we stand together in times of need. Through this focused effort, we will support our employees affected by natural disasters or unexpected life-changing events with financial aid.
