HR Intern- Fall
About the Role:
Feldco is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic HR Intern to join our team. As an HR Intern, you will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience in various aspects of HR, including recruiting, onboarding, benefits, employee engagement, training and development and HR administration. This is a paid internship that will provide you with hands-on exposure to HR processes in a professional environment. This internship will be for the fall of 2023 (August-Nov) working in our Rosemont, IL location. This role is part time at about 25 hours per week. Days and times are flexible.
What you will do:
- Support the onboarding process for new hires, including preparing swag bags, printing badges, and assigning training courses.
- First point of contact for all visitors to the building.
- Sending out monthly birthday and anniversary communications
- Will assist the Benefit Specialist with wellness initiatives.
- Keep track of 30/60/90 day evaluations
- Help with HR administration tasks, such as maintaining employee files, updating HR databases and preparing HR reports.
- Opportunity to assist with recruiting
- Support the HR team with various ad-hoc projects and tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite (Work, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong desire to learn and grow in the field of HR.
