The Human Resources Manager is responsible for leading and directing the routine functions of the Human Resources (HR) department including hiring and interviewing staff, administering pay, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices.
Duties and Responsibilities

Provides support and guidance to HR Generalists, management, and other staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise; may be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and terminations.

Collaborates with business partners to develop and support talent strategies.

Ensure consistent application of policies, practices and company values.

Oversees employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.

Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.

Champions and leads key Diversity, Equity and Inclusion initiatives.

Develops and delivers initiatives that help to reinforce culture that enables top talent to feel engaged, contribute and do their best work.

HR Projects: participates in project teams and/or works independently on a variety of projects including the development of new policies, programs, performance management, succession planning, and training.

Analyzes trends in compensation and benefits; researches and proposes competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent.

Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
Qualifications

A minimum of five years of human resource management experience is preferred.

Ability to identify and resolve problems with solid business and accurate judgment

Experience in supporting and coaching HR Assistants or Associates, preferred

Must meet the age requirement as outlined by state cannabis agencies
-
Able to pass all background checks/fingerprinting as required by state cannabis agencies.

Able to provide valid badging/credentials as required by state cannabis agencies.
Education
-
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred

Professional certifications such as PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SCP highly desired

$70K - $90K annually depending on experience
