Who we’re looking for:
The North America HR Shared Service Operations Lead collaborates closely with various parties (e.g., HR members in Subsidiaries, HR Business Partners, Information technology professionals and Head Office members) to effectively and efficiently deliver day to day operational HR transactions in all areas of HR as well as enable an efficient HR organization through the use and improvement of HR technology. This is a senior role impacting multiple organizations across a wide geography as well as influence decisions made in Head Office with global impact.
Reporting to the Sr. Director of HR SSC, the Senior Manager level role is responsible for supporting the Shared Service Center in the areas of people process and technology. This role will partner with SSC leadership to ensure service level agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs) are at or above standards while striving to improve quality and customer experience. Interact cross functionally with Centers of Expertise (COEs), HR Business Partners (HRBPs), and Human Resources Operations Team in each of the Samsung’s North America subsidiaries.
What you’ll be doing:
Develop performance measurements to effectively maintain service level agreements and key performance indicators
Embody and instill a continuous process improvement mind-set at all levels of the HR Shared Service organization, lead continuous improvement initiatives
Monitor key Service Level Agreements, quality targets and Key Performance Indicators, identify areas of opportunity
Identify, track and provide feedback to team members regarding performance against service level objectives and other key protocols
Oversee the process for documenting process map / flows to allow for continuous innovation, transfer of knowledge and training direct/indirect members
Support SSC financial processes, vendor approval and budgetary controls on contractors.
Plan and manage annual SSC’s external spend budget
Partner with HR communities to identify areas for further integration of HR administration tasks and services into the HRSS Team; lead integration analysis and implementation projects
Project manage large initiatives such as systems rollout or service expansions
Establish close relationships with executives, managers and HR Operations teams to identify needs and effectively resolve issues
Recommend process improvement areas, identify key trends and benchmarks, partner with HR Shared Service Leaders to review performance results
Monitor and audit service center transactions to ensure issue resolution and accuracy of data
Create and maintain content for HRSS Team internal knowledge base and partner with IT, HR subject matter experts, and other resources as necessary for content needs
Oversee CRM, knowledge and content management and other tools used by HRSS Team
Manage internal team members as required to deliver the requirements of the role
Skills and Qualifications
Qualification Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in related field, preferred with Masters preferred
10+ years of relatable experience in Program Management, Financial management, HR or Continuous improvement roles
Lean six sigma certification preferred
Experience in cross functional collaboration with a diverse and dispersed population for global organizations
Ability to work in a fast-paced high-pressure environment and across subsidiaries
Demonstrated track record of leveraging process and project management skills to deliver results
Significant experience working within the assigned geographic region
Vendor managing experience
Strong analytical, problem-solving and conceptual skills with experience in organizing, planning, and executing large-scale projects from the envisioning stage through to implementation
Work is performed in an office environment on a required hybrid schedule
Up to 20% domestic travel required with occasional travel to Canada or Mexico periodically as needed
Excellent written, oral, presentation, facilitation, and interpersonal communication skills
