This is a full-time, direct placement for HVH Mechanical Partners


HVH Mechanical Partners is seeking an HVAC Service Manager to join the team. This management position earns a base salary (125K) with performance-based bonuses. We also provide excellent benefits, including paid vacation, paid holidays, ongoing training, matching 401K, and advancement opportunities. HVH Mechanical offers a company vehicle with gas card.

Job Duties:

As a Service Manager, you are responsible for the overall service department process from lead generation to customer surveys. You also work closely with a dispatcher to assign jobs for the next day and then follow up with technicians as needed. Communicating with all parties involved, you keep track of each job within the schedule and lead your team to achieve revenue goals. To do this, you regularly meet with each person on your team, formally and informally, to provide the necessary training and support they need. You create an environment where our employees feel comfortable, happy, and ready to work! You enjoy mentoring others and seeing them reach their fullest potential! This position is the foundation of the company, this makes or breaks the HVH Mechanical Branding in the city. A Service Manager at HVH Mechanical Partners has the ability to change lives by mentoring individuals and setting work and life goals to be as successful as possible.

  • Budget / KPI implementation and tracking Must have experience in the leading and management of people and processes to get profit results.
  • Strong and in-depth knowledge and understanding of HVAC and refrigeration systems
  • Ability to hire, motivate, manage, and train a team of HVAC technicians, installers, and dispatchers
  • Ability to create strategy and goals for team productivity and quality of work
  • Ability to read, interpret, utilize and train on manuals, schematics and control circuits related to HVAC
  • Outstanding customer service and sales skills and refrigeration systems
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and juggle multiple priorities
  • Be available by phone 24/7
  • Strong organizational skills, and strong sense of urgency
  • Ability to maintain a positive attitude while under pressure
  • Strong troubleshooting and conflict resolution skills
  • Manage HVAC maintenance and service teams to ensure quality onsite
  • Schedules direct and provide technical support for HVAC technicians.
  • Understand the sales criteria and hold your team accountable for exceeding revenue goals.
  • Reviews technicians' work to ensure quality meets established standards
  • Organize training and ongoing support for field team
  • Recruits, interviews, hires and trains HVAC technicians, installers, and dispatchers as required to meet workload demands
  • Commercial / Industrial HVAC service experience with water cooled equipment
  • Ensuring compliance with appliance standards and with Occupational Health and Safety Act
  • Complying with service standards, work instructions, and customers' requirements
  • Ability to work after hours, over weekends, and on public holidays with short or no notice.
  • Other tasks and responsibilities as required to maintain efficient department operations
  • Strong computer and phone skills Knowledge about MS Office and web-based software
  • Build a relationship with the Union and apprenticeship school
  • Willingness to work long hours and some weekends
  • Manage Work Vehicle Fleet
