The Opportunity:
This position will work closely with account management teams in the analysis of client data. This is a Spring 2025 Internship, intended to run from January 2025 thru May 2025, with possible continuation into Summer 2025 with participation in the Hylant Summer Intern Program, pending performance.
In This Role You Will Execute On:
- Look at reports, and utilize critical thinking skills to analyze data with triggers and parameters.
- Partner and collaborate with colleagues on findings and provide data insights.
- Utilize various data technology such as excel, PowerBI, Tableau, Epic Applied Systems and more for daily work.
- Perform other duties and special projects as requested.
In This Role You Will Need to:
- Be of rising junior, senior, or graduate-level standing at an accredited college or university. Hylant will also accept applications of students who have graduated and earned a college degree within the past seven months.
- Maintain an average GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Have the ability to work from Indianapolis or Bloomington offices.
- Have the ability to work 20-37.5 hours/week
- Have interest in a long-term career in insurance.
- Be involved in extracurricular activities and/or have a part-time job. While not required, we highly recommend getting involved!
- Major Risk Management and Insurance, Data Analytics, or Actuarial Science. While not required, some background in these industries will help!
- Be authorized to work for any U.S. employer.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills to convey complex findings to non-technical stakeholders.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States

- Work is generally performed in a typical office environment with limited exposure to physical risk or physical effort required.
