Hi, I’m Rotem, Head of People at hyperexponential and I’m looking for a People Business Partner to join my team. The People Team at hyperexponential is central to continuously developing our culture of high performance and enabling leaders to support every hxer (this is what we like to call ourselves) in unlocking their potential. From onboarding to professional development, performance management, and off boarding, we are here to create something truly unique in people experience. We’re working to optimise every stage of the employee journey to enable hyperexponential to deliver on it’s strategic objectives. It’s a real challenge!

Your Mission

Following our significant Series B round, we’re currently scaling both in the UK and internationally. We’re looking for a People Business Partner to join us in scaling a truly remarkable business. The successful candidate will work with all members of the People team and across our leadership team in taking new initiatives to the business, supporting managers in how they lead, measuring the success of what we do and always keeping one eye on how we can innovate next.

You will be bringing your HR and People expertise to a wide range of business requirements. You will partner with employees of all levels and functions, offering guidance, support, and recommending solutions using measurable processes and ways of working.

Success in this role will be measured by your ability to provide seamless people support (including international support) and adapt approaches and processes based on business needs and compliance. This role requires experience in the US market and in scaling companies.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Partnership:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with business leaders to understand business strategy and goals, providing data-led advice aligned with People strategy.

  • Align People strategies with business objectives to always raise the performance bar.

  • Provide input on People initiatives such as performance reviews, workforce planning, succession planning, and organisational development.

  • Seek our opportunities for new initiatives that align with our People and business goals.

Performance Management & Development:

  • Advise and coach managers on performance management, employee development, and enhancing employee engagement metrics.

  • Facilitate talent mapping reviews and succession planning to ensure robust team performance.

  • Provide consultative guidance to evolve People practices.

  • Collaborate with business leaders to address talent needs and support hiring processes.

Employee Engagement & Retention:

  • Build on our ways of enhancing employee engagement as we grow to directly impact the retention of our best

  • Support the Leadership team in the employee engagement survey process, including reviewing, analysing, creating action plans, and holding leaders accountable.

  • Propose and implement employee engagement initiatives.

People Metrics and Reporting:

  • Use People data and analytics to provide insights and recommendations to business leaders.

  • Track and report on key People metrics, turning data into insight to inform managers on where things are excelling and where they can be improved.

Employee Relations:

  • Serve as a trusted advisor on HR-related situations, offering guidance on policies, procedures, and best practices.

  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations instances

Compliance and Policy Development:

  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal employment laws and regulations.

  • Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies and procedures to ensure consistency and compliance.

Key Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a People Business Partner or similar role, with specific experience in the US market and in scaling up companies.

  • Demonstrated ability to function effectively in a stand-alone People domain capacity.

  • Proven ability to influence and coach leaders and employees.

  • Strong empathy, interpersonal, and communication skills, with an appreciation for cultural differences.

  • Knowledge of UK and US HR practices, employment laws, and regulations.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Collaborative and consultative approach with the ability to collect and analyse data to drive change.

  • Proactive self-starter comfortable with fast-paced environments and multiple projects.
