Senior Visual Designer, Design System - Assistant Vice President

About the Role 

iCapital is looking for a Vice President  to drive the growth, maturity, and adoption of our internal design system for our online FinTech product. Collaborate with Design and Product leadership to define concepts, improve, and evolve our product design. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of design systems, visual and interaction design principles, as well as accessibility standards. This role will remain at the forefront of new digital trends and UX best practices to help optimize the client experience, increase product adoption, and scale growth. 

Responsibilities 

• Collaborate cross-functionally with other product designers, engineers, and product managers to help evolve and grow iCapital design system component library. 
• Design new components, styles, and create clear guidelines for our internal teams. 
• Help migrate our platform to adopt the new design system across all pages. 
• Design new product features and enhancements for iCapital’s platform. 
• Own the full design system process covering efforts to design components, prioritize efforts, and quality check engineered components. 
• Create and manage design documentation and style guides to help adoption and consistency of usage across iCapital. 
• Provide clearly defined specs and interaction guidelines to the Development team. 
• Provide guidance, when necessary, to other designers to grow their skills building components and expand their design system knowledge. 
• Manage multiple concurrent requests and requirements. 

 Qualifications 

• Bachelor's Degree (BA or BFA) with 3+ years of experience as a professional visual user interface designer, and hands-on experience delivering enterprise-scale Design System solutions 
• Understanding of design systems, visual design principles, and accessibility standards 
• Portfolio that demonstrates your visual interface design and design system experience 
• A mastery of Figma 
• Familiar with accessibility standards and building highly accessible, usable products 
• History of teamwork and willingness to roll up sleeves and get the job done 
• Strong interpersonal and presentation skills 
• Excited about working in a fast paced, dynamic environment 

Benefits 

The base salary range for this role is $120,000 to $150,000.  iCapital offers a compensation package which includes salary, equity for all full-time employees, and an annual performance bonus.
