Job Description
The Creative Production Artist will have demonstrated success as a digital and print production artist with a foundation in strong typographic and layout skills, precise attention to detail, and outstanding organizational, project management, file organization and archiving skills a must.
You are adept at digital and analogue production and understand that accuracy and proficiency are critical to delivering best-in-class creative and production work. You thrive in a lightning-speed organization where these skills make all the difference.
You innately understand the ability to flex and stretch within a nimble work model are critical for efficiency and success. You seek out skillsets which complement your area of expertise, and you are obsessed with your craft. You know working on your craft is never done and understand the relentless pace of production innovation.

You will be working with senior designers and the Global Creative Director to help shape the creative vision for Illumina, applying systemized and creative production skills to everything you do.
Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

Collaborate closely and take direction from art directors, designers, and developers.

Prepare final press-ready files based on supplied specifications for several types of printing.

Make various formats of supplied artwork production-ready and resolve any artwork issues that arise during production.

Provide image retouching, clipping paths and additional image manipulation.

Package and preflight files for release to printers or media partners.
-
Create PDFs for print and client review.
-
Conduct press checks.
-
Prepare images for online and mobile applications.

Catalog and reference art for future projects.

Follow a development timeline to ensure tasks are being completed on time.

Troubleshoot problems as they arise with both the creative team and third-party vendors.

Provide great attention to detail, uphold, and deliver work at the highest quality standards.

Be a champion for all creative work, helping those around us understand why what we do is invaluable.

Understand the value of pushing for systematic design thinking across broad use-cases to help provide a creative vision for the organization.

You Bring:

An amazing online portfolio showcasing multiple types of projects and solutions, including digital and print samples.

5+ years of professional experience in the production artist field within an agency or in-house studio or equivalent experience.

Expertise across not only the standard Adobe Creative Suite, but other applications as well such as Word, Figma, Sketch, InVision, AdobeXD, Zeplin, etc.

A pixel-perfect design sensibility.

Demonstrated ability to use grid systems and apply design best practices.

The estimated base salary range for the Creative Production Artist role based in the United States of America is: $65,800 - $98,600. Should the level or location of the role change during the hiring process, the applicable base pay range may be updated accordingly. Compensation decisions are dependent on several factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications, location where the role is to be performed, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Additionally, all employees are eligible for one of our variable cash programs (bonus or commission) and eligible roles may receive equity as part of the compensation package.
