Process Engineer needed at an aluminum finishing mill. In this engineering position, you will provide support in maintaining and improving equipment safety at the plant. An outcome of your good work will also improve quality of the product, reliability of the machinery, and control the cost of operations. You will also be responsible for capital projects and continuous improvement projects.
This is a highly visible position, since this is a well-funded startup operation.
This job is in Eastern Mississippi, near Starkville. I am advertising this job in order to attract candidates who will consider relocation.
BS in Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering Technology required.
2-20 years’ experience in metals finishing, preferably with rolling, cutting, slitting, extrusion finishing of aluminum rolled sheet products.
Should have excellent mechanical ability and understanding with pneumatics, hydraulics, rollers, bearings.
Should be able to learn about new computer programs quickly and be adept with using MS Office tools for analysis of production and maintenance information, and for preparing reports.
Previous experience in aluminum mills, and similar heavy manufacturing is preferred.
