Implementation Specialist

JOB SUMMARY

Doble is seeking an Implementation Specialist who has the desire to become an expert in emerging topics in the power industry and provide meaningful contributions to the PowerBase user community. The Implementation Specialist role provides pre and post technical sales support, product demonstrations, and works with PowerBase project manager during customer implementation projects. This role also provides technical expertise on PowerBase software, processes and controls, training, instructional design, and customer support activities. The Implementation Specialist will also have the opportunity to expand their knowledge base and take part in industry areas such as NERC/CIP compliance, IEC 61850, enterprise asset management, condition assessment, and other emerging topics.

This role is based in our Tulsa, OK office reporting to the PowerBase Solutions Manager. Fully remote options outside of Tulsa, OK are available based on candidate qualifications.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • PowerBase Implementation Project Lead
    • Advises customers on best practices for the use of PowerBase.
    • Develops workflows which match customer operational needs.
    • Supports implementation projects from start to completion.
    • Works with PowerBase implementation team, development team, project manager, and other departments within Doble to meet project goals & deadlines.
  • Sales support
    • Prospecting existing clients on services in the course of training and implementation work
    • Determine customer implementation project cost estimations.
    • Participates in roadshows, web demos, conferences/trade shows and other company sponsored events including committee meetings, general sessions, user group meetings and onsite meetings with customers for sales and support activities.
  • Training
    • Delivers PowerBase onsite or remote training to customers.
    • Ability to work with a customer to determine the desired training topics and assist with the creation of the training agenda.
    • Assist with the instructional design of training material for in person, remote, and eLearning trainings.
  • PowerBase Support
    • Provide technical support to customers for the PowerBase product via telephone, email, or web meeting platform.
    • Act as liaison between customer and PowerBase support team to efficiently resolve customers support needs.
    • Provides support in testing new product feature sets, and software evaluation to improve overall product quality and make feature suggestions to Engineering.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by management.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Business Administration
  • 5+ years of electrical power industry relevant experience in lieu of Bachelor’s degree

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE/SKILL SET:

The successful candidate shall have:

  • A solid history of commitment to customer service.
  • The ability to teach and relate ideas or concepts to individuals with varied levels of experience.
  • The ability to express ideas clearly in written, oral and developing new media communications.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • A professional demeanor at all times both with all stakeholders both internal and external to Doble.
  • A strong balance of product and service orientation.
  • Demonstrated superior skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Proven ability to meet critical deadlines while managing multiple priorities.
  • Can work independently without supervision.
  • Excellent customer interaction skills via email, telephone, and or web meeting platform.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE (Not Required):

  • 5+ years of experience:
    • In a relevant role in the electrical power industry.
    • Alternatively, experience providing application and end user support
  • and/or systems infrastructure support
  • Fundamental knowledge of utility operations related to protection and control.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Ability to communicate technical information coherently, both verbally and in writing, to customers with various levels of education
  • Attention to Detail
  • Ability to maintain a professional attitude with others (customers, vendors, and other employees)
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications including: MSACCESS, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Familiarity with ORACLE, SYBASE, and SQL SERVER preferred
  • Experience with SQL queries and statements preferred
  • Project management training is helpful.

Actual base salary offered to the hired applicant will be determined based on their work location, level, qualifications, job related skills, as well as relevant education or training experience.
Salary Pay Range Minimum $‎76,587.92- Midpoint $95,734.90

While performing the duties of this job the employee is often required to stand, sit, use computers, read, write, type, use copy machines, file paperwork, use telephones, and utilize written and oral communication to interact with clients, co-workers and customers. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals to perform the essential functions of this job. Must be capable of lifting 30 pounds.
