In School Suspension Aide
Assist the campus administration in the management of students who have been removed from the regular classroom for disciplinary reasons.
- Assist administration in the supervision of students who have been removed from the classroom for violations of the Student Code of Conduct.
- Help maintain a neat and orderly classroom
- Help keep administrative records and prepare required reports.
- Collect student instructional materials and route to the appropriate staff member.
- Communicate with parents when appropriate.
- Regular attendance.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Some experience working with children
Education/Certification:
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid Texas educational aide certificate (must obtain within 30 days of employment)
Special Knowledge/Skills:
- Ability to work well with children
- Ability to communicate effectively
Mental Demands/ Physical Demands/Environmental Factors: Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written); interpret policy, procedures, and data; maintain emotional control under stress. Moderate standing, stooping, bending, and lifting.

Pay Grade IS-3 - Minimum hourly rate - $15.00
