Scientific Communications Manager

The primary focus for the Scientific Communications Manager is ownership of Inari’s podium and publication strategy and execution including keeping apprised of new developments in endovascular therapies for relevant disease state. This ownership includes collaborating with clinical and various cross-functional teams to analyze and publish data targeting key stakeholders and identifying commercial case opportunities for abstract and podium presentations as well as publications in the scientific literature.Responsibilities• Ensure key scientific communications objectives are achieved or exceeded.• Maintain current knowledge of relevant literature and competitive landscape and summarize for communication with sales and marketing counterparts and customers.• Perform regular analytics on Inari clinical research and other available data sets to identify interesting trends for the purposes of scientific communications.• Develop robust plan for medical conference presentations including upstream abstract submissions for dedicated Inari talks and downstream slide development and physician support.• Develop robust plan for peer reviewed and case study publications to drive commercial adoption of Inari’s device portfolio.• Create and manage speaker’s bureau to support publications and podium talks across key interventional and non-interventional stakeholders.• Attend relevant scientific sessions at major medical conferences to capture and disseminate relevant information to sales and marketing team.• Perform other duties as assigned.Qualifications• Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Biological/Clinical Science, or Engineering.• Minimum of three years of medical device industry experience.• Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills, including medical writing.• Excellent analytical skill and creative thinking in compliantly procuring and analyzing data.• Proficient software skills across all standard programs. Prior experience with PowerBI or similar software highly desirable.• Proficiency in MATLAB or similar programming languages preferred.• High degree of attention to detail.• Strong project management and organizational skills.• Must have a good understanding of the medical environment to effectively respond to market concerns and provide technical support for products.• Ability to become a domain expert in disease states relevant to Inari’s device portfolio.• Ability to competently represent Inari at professional functions and customer meetings.• Excellent advocacy and persuasive skills.• Must be able to work independently with minimal direction.• A healthy disdain for the status quo, and a willingness to question existing practices to identify better alternatives.• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and be flexible enough to change priorities with short notice when necessary.• Ability to succeed in a rapidly changing, agile environment where continuous innovation is requisite to success.• Ability to plan and manage at both strategic and tactical levels.• Ability to succeed and be effective in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.Preferred• Prior scientific communications experience a plus.Inari Medical offers competitive health and wealth benefits for our employees. The base pay range for this position is $135,000 - $155,000. A range of factors, including location, skills, and experience, will be considered.
