Job Summary
To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, this Summer, we’re looking to add an Industrial Engineer Intern located in our Columbia, South Carolina site.
Reporting to the Business Excellence Manager, the student will assist with simulation to drive continuous improvement while learning, collaborating and working with internal, cross-functional teams.
What a typical day looks like:

Attend Continuous Improvement daily team meetings

Prioritize and support continuous improvement efforts at the Columbia Flex site

Create simulation models to optimize layouts and processes for customer
-
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to include site Engineers and Operations personnel
Student qualities we’re seeking for this internship assignment:

Junior/Senior student pursuing Industrial/Manufacturing Engineer BS degree

Simulation modeling coursework
-
Experience with optimizing Queuing Theory concepts

Microsoft Office Suite; advanced Reporting skills, highly preferred

Highly collaborative, interpersonal and excellent communication skills

Enthusiastic about working in a manufacturing environment

Previous internship experience a plus!
Internship Program Requirements:

Available to work 40 hours/week (in-person) for 10-12 week Summer assignment

Currently enrolled in 4-year accredited university

3.0 minimum GPA
