Description & Requirements

Highly experienced technical writer, strongly motivated to create the right content for excellent customer experiences. This role requires diving deep on technical details and holding a strategic view of how our information platforms should best work together to support our product's success. Information deliverables include product documentation, videos, and tutorials in a fast-paced environment. You will work closely with software engineers, product managers and other team members to create documentation from scratch and/or edit and bring together various content resources from SMEs. At times you will collaborate on shared projects with other writers, while also independently planning and executing on your own content deliverables or the deliverables of the team.

A Day in The Life Typically Includes:

Lead projects that might include other technical writers.
Develop information strategies and plans for enterprise level ERP software.
Review documentation for consistency through application of standards and style guides.
Create project plans, maintain schedules for specific projects, and communicate documentation status to management and project leads.
Write highly technical content that describes product functionality.
Compile and test online help.
Develop tutorials to improve first user experience.
Contribute how-to articles, knowledge base articles, videos, walkthroughs, and other useful content.
Contribute to documentation team processes.

What You Will Need:

Experience as the Point of Contact leading a project team.
Knowledge or willing to learn technical information.
Experience with meeting deadlines and helping others meet deadlines.
Experience multitasking, prioritizing, and developing schedules.
Experience reviewing customer requirements and developing and fine-tuning them into documentation processes.
Content Control Management System (CCMS), TortoiseSVN, Dreamweaver or similar experience
Experience with MS Word

What Will Put You Ahead?

Enterprise ERP software and/or distribution solutions experience.

Attention to detail and accuracy, committed to excellence, and owns and acts on quality problems.

BA/MA/BS/MS or equivalent (engineering, technical communications, humanities, social sciences) preferred.

Remote - (Alpharetta, GA; Dallas, TX; and St. Paul, MN)
