This is a hybrid position located in Cincinnati, Ohio.
The Information Security Manager is a senior leader in the Information Technologies Division and is responsible for establishing, planning, and administering the overall information security strategy, policies, goals, and procedures for Xavier University.
The position includes responsibility for furthering the development of a security program that leverages collaborations and campus-wide resources, facilitates information security governance, advises senior leadership on security direction and resource investments, and designs appropriate policies to manage information security risk. This role is the primary leader in providing information security awareness across all faculty, staff, and students at Xavier University.
The Information Security Manager utilizes a variety of security products and tools to prevent and recover from security breaches, and coordinates the handling of security incidents when such incidents/breaches occur. The role performs and evaluates information risk on a regular basis, assesses vulnerability scans, and works to oversee that remediation of necessary findings.
