Forge powerful connections, discover untapped markets, ignite opportunities, and be the driving force as you promote the sale of our Vacuum products through consultative and cooperative efforts with RSMs and Sales Partners.ResponsibilitiesConsultation & Technical Sales:• Responsible for generating list(s) of target customers by Market and specific Applications deemed to be well positioned for the Ingersoll Rand Vacuum Portfolio• Outbound, proactive engagements with target customers, targeting a minimum of 10 live interactions in an attempt to secure in-person, technical meetings• Works with Internal (Regional Sales Managers) and External (Reps & Distributors) Sales teams, Consulting Engineers (EPCs), End-Users, and OEMs alike, to assess the potential of IR Vacuum Portfolio• Researches and presents application-specific information, showing potential customers the cost benefit of utilizing various products in the IR Vacuum Portfolio• Act as a technical liaison between Sales and Project Management/Engineering team(s) to provide technical support, clarification, and assist with the presentation of proposals to prospective customers• Assist IR Regional Sales Managers in closing opportunitiesBusiness Plans:• Develops business plans and sales targets for specific target Vacuum ApplicationsTraining:• Provides technical training to sales (RSMs & Channel Partners) as well as potential customers regarding applications, products, and solutions via in-person and virtual sessions (including webinars)Application Development:Consistently researching all things related to assigned vacuum applications to ensure they remain the foremost technical expert in our business.• Responsible for providing quarterly business updates on their prospective area(s) of focus• Forecasts/Budget• Gives input to regional sales managers for company forecasts & budgets.• Contributes as required to achieving monthly and quarterly bookings and revenue targets.Basic Qualifications• Be task, detail, and results oriented, as well as organized and flexible.• Must be customer-focused; able to provide customer satisfaction in an expedient manner.• Strong sense of urgency and bias for action.• Be process-oriented and improvement driven.• Must have a strong sense of ownership; creative problem-solver.• Must rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.• Demonstrated ability to do tasks quickly, accurately, and efficiently.• Must be good at multitasking and setting priorities.Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements• Remote, US role, residing near a major USA airport• Must be able to travel throughout region• US Citizen or lawful Permanent ResidentKey Competencies• Rotating Equipment experience in Vacuum or similar industry• Education: Bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent) in Engineering (mechanical, chemical or environmental) required, or an Engineering Technology Associate’s Degree with demonstrated applications experience.• Experience required: 5+ years of applications/technical sales experienceWhat we offer:Ingersoll Rand offers a comprehensive benefits program as a commitment to you, so you can be your best at work and beyond.• 401K (Matching up to 6%)• Medical plans, Dental, Vision• Vacation time, paid holidays and sick time• Company provided short term and long term disability, life insurance and employee assistance programs• Ingersoll Rand stockAt Ingersoll Rand we foster inspired teams.
