Information Technology Support Intern

Background Information:

Innovative Defense Technologies (IDT), provider of automated software testing, data analysis, and cybersecurity solutions for complex, mission-critical systems in the US Department of Defense (DOD) is currently seeking qualified candidates for its Summer Internship Program with a concentration in Information Technology Support.

Overview:

Information Technology Support Interns work alongside our Service Desk Team to provide world class technology support under the direct supervision of the Helpdesk Team Lead.

IDT’s Summer Internship Program offers students the opportunity to learn from experts and perform meaningful work in a professional work environment. IDT interns gain valuable, hands-on experience and solve real-world problems. In this program, students can expect:

A 10–12-week program; up to 40 hours per week

All applicants must be able to obtain/maintain an active U.S. security clearance.

Minimum Required Qualifications:

Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or postgraduate degree program with a major in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Networking, or related field
Experience with common software applications and hardware components

Preferred Skills and Experience:

At least 1 year of experience troubleshooting and solving technical issues within the Windows operating system
Customer service experience, preferably 1 year
Current college juniors/rising seniors preferred

Solid analytical abilities, coupled with a strong sense of ownership, urgency, and drive
