If so, you are just what we are looking for!As our business continues to grow, we are seeking an SVP of Merchandising that will focus on product development and merchandise strategy development and execution for our Kids, STEM, and Compounds categories. This innovative leader will drive category and brand portfolio expansion and volume across multiple channels of distribution, attaining corporate financial goals and leading team of high-energy, results-driven product developers and merchandisers.Role Responsibilities:MERCHANDISE PLANNING & EXECUTI• ONDefine merchandising strategy for assigned business categories and brands, aligned with overall corporate growth plan• s.Execute assortments within business categories and brands, leading a team of Product Developers and Product Manager• s.Lead creation of new brands and brand extensions, working closely with both Design and operational team• s.Partner with global sourcing and Asia merchandising counterparts to lead efforts in assortment executio• n.Act as senior leader through cross-functional efforts in delivering products to retail beginning at concept development stag• e.Monitor category and brand metrics across all channels, identifying areas of opportunities to drive further bottom line volume and close gaps.GROWTH-DRIVING LEADERS• HIPDrive categorical growth by identifying white space opportunities, category and product innovation and adjacent category explorati• on.Partner with sales leads in maintaining and gaining retail placement across multiple channels of distribution, playing a key role in industry analysis/recaps, retailer presentations and trade even• ts.Mentor and groom Horizon’s next line of merchandising leaders.Qualificati• ons:10+ years of product development/merchandising experience, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role in kids/crafts/toy category is requi• red.MUST have in-house product development experie• nce.Proven track record of driving innovation, sales growth, and profitability in a consumer goods environm• ent.Strong analytical and strategic thinking ski• lls.Excellent communication and leadership abilit• ies.Deep understanding of consumer behavior and market dynam• ics.Innovative and trend-savvy with a strong aesthetic se• nse.Ability to come to our office in New Providence, NJ approximately 2x/week is required.
