Civil Engineer

Insight Global is seeking a Civil Engineer with approximately 5+ years of experience in the field. The ideal candidate will be familiar with multifamily projects and capable of solving real-world problems, not just design problems. This is a full time role, 40 hours a week, with travel required within an hour radius of downtown Richmond.Responsibilities:1. Apply engineering principles to design, modify, or develop facilities, testing, machines, equipment, or processes used in processing or manufacturing products.2. Analyze survey reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, aerial photography, or other topographical or geologic data.3. Estimate quantities and cost of materials, equipment, or labor to determine project feasibility.4. Inspect project sites to monitor progress and ensure conformance to design specifications and safety or sanitation standards.5. Conduct studies of traffic patterns or environmental conditions to identify engineering problems and assess potential project impact.Qualifications:1. Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.2. At least 5 years of experience in Civil Engineering.3. Familiarity with multifamily projects.4. Ability to solve real-world problems.5. Engineer-In-Training (EIT) certification.6. Familiarity with construction litigation.7. Experience working with building owners and conducting warranty inspections.8. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.9. Must reside within an hour of Richmond, VA.
