Position: Senior Database Engineer (MongoDB DBA)Duration: 12 months + extensionsLocation: Onsite every other week (5x per week, 2 weeks per month) in one of the following locations:• Dallas, TX• Chicago, IL• Boston, MA• Providence, RI• Merrimack, NH• Jersey City, NJ• Covington, KY (Cincinnati, OH)Required Skills & Experience:• 5-7+ years of overall experience in database engineering• Strong hands-on experience and expertise in MongoDB administration• Experienced with build, installation, configuration, upgrade, troubleshooting, performance tuning, production support, high-availability monitoring of large-scale databases• Debugging skills & ability to troubleshoot methodically, identifying & applying fixes for known errors, capacity to think outside of the box to resolve complex issues• Hands-on experience creating AWS Cloud infrastructure (EC2, CFT, Route53, RDS, etc)• Scripting/IaC/automation tooling (Terraform, Ansible, Python/Bash)• Experience with Datadog, Grafana, and/or Prometheus & ideally integration with ServiceNow• Experienced in CI/CD, DevOps using tools like Udeploy, JIRA, Confluence, Jenkins, Git, ECS, Docker• Knowledge in REST APIs, ability to read documentation & make calls to read or write data using APINice to Have Skills & Experience:• Experience designing, architecting, and/or developing MongoDB clusters highly preferred• Experience in financial services domain highly preferred• Experience with CockroachDB or MariaDB• Experience or subject knowledge in Redis and Elasticsearch• Adept at version control tools GIT Stash, build tools like MavenDescription:As a Senior Database Engineer/MongoDB Administrator, you will bring your technology expertise, design and administration skills to create unique state-of-the-art database systems. We are looking for an individual with expertise in MongoDB who has a passion for technology tempered by a level-headed approach to problem solving and broad experience in diverse technologies. You will bring a hunger for problem solving and desire to understand and play with newer technologies and business ideas. Day to day, you will be responsible for the design, configuration and monitoring very large-scale database system including Relational databases, NoSQL and in memory databases. You will also be working in tandem with database administrators, developers, and data engineers across the organization. Compensation: $75-78/hour. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401K retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
