Must Haves:• Bachelor’s Degree• 5-7 years of practical experience in Human Computer Interaction (HCI) and/or User Experience (UX) design (mockups, risk analysis, strategy, design concepts/prototypes, etc.)• Great communication• Prior experience working within SCRUM framework and embracing agility practicesPlusses:• Basic understanding of visual design• Basic understanding of HTML, JavaScript, and other web technologies• Background in health insurance or healthcareDay to day:One of our large healthcare clients is looking for a Senior User Experience Designer to be the primary UX designer for a small application within a larger suite of applications. This is an internal web-based application that services care managers and patients. You will be expected to solve user and business problems and proactively research opportunities to increase workflow efficiency and intuitiveness, and you will work closely with engineers, visual designers, and other team members to implement solutions.• Conduct exploratory research including shadowing, interviews, and meeting with stakeholders and users in order to gain an understanding of users’ needs, goals, and work environments.• Document research findings in workflows, personas, user journeys, and other artifacts to gain approval from the business and guide development.• Ensure meaningful analytics are proactively captured and use analytics to guide redesigns and validate the implemented solutions.• Create high-level sketches/wireframes to validate functional requirements and workflows and communicate with the team.• Build interactive prototypes for easier understanding of complex interactions as needed.• Write and conduct usability tests on proposed and developed solutions with end-users that can validate iterative hypotheses.• Ensure developed solutions are usable with assistive technology and meet accessibility standards.• Actively engage in Scrum ceremonies and vocalize progress, impediments, and ideas.• Work with other designers to ensure designs meet interaction and visual design standards.• Seek peer review of work and be receptive to team commentary.• Keep abreast of advancements in UX methodologies and best-practices.Compensation:$45/hr to $53/hr.Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
