Business Analyst (Manchester)

Insight Investment is looking for a Business Analyst to join the Client Reporting Development team in Manchester. As a Business Analyst, your primary focus will be to carry out functional and data analysis across Client Reporting, support the design and development activities and lead the testing phases through to solution implementation. You will collaborate closely with client reporting (Ops), client service teams, and fellow technology colleagues to ensure that reporting processes are efficient, accurate, and compliant with client requirements.

The team supports the business team’s IT development requirements, leveraging the data and systems architecture deployed. The platform’s output aim is to deliver accurate, complete, reliable and comprehensive trade, regulation, investment and market data for our internal reporting team and clients.

Role Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Product Owner and business to develop and detail the Client Reporting product backlog in the form of Epics and Stories
• Act as the communication channel between Product Owners, business owners, and the Agile delivery team
• Engage with key stakeholders, users, and user representatives to establish business drivers and derive functional requirements
• Lead the data and systems analysis activities within the project, identifying requirements, potential solutions, and resulting impacts
• Facilitate UAT testing and the release of solutions, collaborating with developers ensuring adequate handover to support and operational teams
• Maintain detailed documentation of client reporting processes, data lineage, and system configurations in accordance with internal policies and regulatory requirements

Experience Required

• A data and systems driven, technical Agile Business Analyst
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server
• A self-starting, critical thinker
• Proactive problem solver
• Someone who understands the importance of testing in supporting a right first time approach
• A great communicator who works collaboratively and can engage and manage stakeholders
