This role is based in our Product and Innovation function.  Here we innovate and play to develop new, and evolve existing Products and Services, with a focus on customer-centricity, innovation, and product development. ​ We focus on creating and evolving value by encompassing new learning, technology, sustainability, and market trends across our Intellectual Property. ​

 

Job Description

We’re seeking a dynamic Commercial Lead to join our team and play a pivotal role in driving the success of our global sales processes and pricing strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and Shape the Commercial Service: Guide decision-making during proposals and contracting and deliver insightful analysis to support business targeting and discovery phases.

  • Develop and Implement Global Pricing Strategy: Design, launch, and manage Insights’ global pricing strategy, ensuring effective implementation in collaboration with project management, sales, and finance teams.

  • Optimise Solution Bids: Oversee and plan the commercial aspects of solution bids, working to achieve commercial targets within proposals and ensure competitive and profitable outcomes.

  • Manage and Develop Team Performance: Lead the Commercial Pricing Specialists and coordinate external resources, driving performance and contribution on key pricing projects.

  • Engage and Align Stakeholders: Facilitate the Pricing Committee’s inputs and outputs, keeping all stakeholders informed and aligned on pricing decisions and strategies.

  • Pricing Model Expertise: Deep experience in creating value-based pricing models for complex, customised solutions.
  • Commercial and Business Analysis: Strong background in commercial analysis within global sales environments.
  • Negotiation Support: Expertise in supporting sales teams through customer negotiations, particularly in procurement cycles.
  • Financial Modeling Proficiency: Highly skilled in financial modeling, data analysis, and advanced statistical techniques.
  • Excel and Financial Systems Mastery: Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, with proven ability to use complex formulas and summarise financial data.
  • Stakeholder Management: Exceptional relationship-building skills to engage and align key stakeholders.
  • Organizational and Planning Skills: Strong planning abilities, able to prioritise and deliver on key objectives.
