The Sales Function works with a diverse range of customers, everything from start-ups to the most well-known global corporations.  We work closely with our customers to develop a clear understanding of their business context, their needs, and how our range of products can support their business objectives. Through this partnership and relationship approach, the Sales team perform at a high level and are fundamental to the ongoing growth and success of Insights.

Job Description

We've created a new role as Sales Manager for Customer Acquisition and Growth to develop and execute comprehensive customer acquisition strategies to drive growth in the learning and development B2B marketplace. 

You'll recruit your own sales team who will be hunting for new business opportunities across the US. You'll have the opportunity to shape the whole vision with the support of senior sales colleagues across the business. You'll be responsible for directing and scaling them, defining and optimizing sales processes and driving demand generation initiatives with marketing.

  • Customer Acquisition Strategy -  Develop and execute comprehensive customer acquisition strategies to drive growth and review market trends, customer behaviour and industry landscape to identify new business opportunities.
  • Sales Process Development - Define, implement, and optimize scalable sales processes, develop sales playbooks, training programs, and onboarding processes and monitor and review sales performance metrics.
  • Revenue Performance - Create a sales team to generate revenues and meet/exceed KPIs & metrics around the acquisition of net new customers for the business. 
  • Demand Generation & Lead Generation - work in partnership with the marketing team to scale demand generation and lead generation capabilities through targeted campaigns, outbound efforts, and strategic partnerships.
  • Team Leadership & Development - Recruit, mentor, and manage a high-performing sales team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Set clear goals and expectations for the team, providing regular coaching and feedback to drive individual and team success.
  • Tech Stack Management - Utilize and manage commonly used sales tech stack tools (CRM systems, sales enablement platforms, analytics tools) to optimize sales processes and track performance and ensure the team is proficient in the use of these tools, providing training and support as needed.

Qualifications

  • Recent experience of having set up a sales team from the ground up along with all the systems and processes required to make it a success
  • Strong sales background and track record of delivering results and commercial judgement
  • A proven track record in scaling teams and driving significant revenue growth
  • Proficiency in modern sales tech stack tools (Salesforce, HubSpot, LinkedIn Sales Navigator).
  • A high performing role model, global mindset, matrix management, collaboration and think like a customer
  • Cultivate a culture of high performance focused on delivering a legendary customer experience
  • Demonstrate a capability of managing, directing and developing high performing teams in the global learning and development sector
  • Bring a global mind set and drive for consistent customer experience across the Insights sales and delivery process
  • Strong operational management, interpreting data skills, influencing and negotiation skills

Additional Information

You'll be rewarded with a competitive basic salary + bonus and ideally you'll be based around Texas as we have an office in Austin.
