Join OUR TEAM and play a key role in manufacturing at Allegion's Steelcraft facility, a major manufacturer of Steel Frames & Doors. Reporting into one of our Value Streams, Frames or Doors, you will be responsible for performing a variety of duties, including manual work handling materials for our various manufacturing and service departments. Previous manufacturing experience is preferred, however don't let this deter you from applying as we will support you in your training and development!

What You Will Do:

Perform audits utilizing predetermined methods and procedures to check layouts, tolerances and finish requirements on a diversified line of piece-arts
Perform audits and testing of sub-assemblies and assemblies for acceptable standards of performance using standardized testing equipment
Make decisions as to adherence to quality standards and allowable variations, rejects, or malfunctions
Refer non-conforming work to management for final disposition

What You Need to Succeed:

You must have ability to work from part or assembly drawings and specifications
You must have ability to use tools including but not limited to: square, calipers, micrometers, indicators, verniers, parallels, special adjustable gauges, fixed limit, and plug gauges
You must have ability to work independently with little supervision
You must have ability to communicate well with others
You must have the ability to see well, including strong depth perception and the ability to distinguish between colors
You will be required to continuously or near continuously stand and maintain your balance
You will need to be able to frequently (4 or more hours per day): lift, carry (25-50 lbs.), stoop, twist, and reach (overhead and to the side)
You need to be able to occasionally walk, push & pull heavy carts
Climbing, kneeling, and crouching may also be required
