Quality Engineering Team Lead

Our QA team is responsible for providing quality assurance to our SaaS based platform used by our clients across the globe. Working in collaboration with the development teams, they conduct functional, performance, regression, and automated testing of all the new features for the upcoming releases on our platform. Working alongside the delivery team in an agile methodology, the QA team ensures the releases are delivered in a timely fashion with high quality. We have embarked on a journey of embedding quality as a culture, to ensure and sustainably develop quality not just within the organisation but with our clients. Reporting to our Technical QA Manager, we are looking to hire a client-focused, smart and commercially savvy Client Delivery QA Team Lead to join our team and help drive the growth of INSTANDA.

You will be an SME in Testing, providing direction and leadership not just at a scrum team level, but with stakeholders across multiple areas or projects. The role combines client-facing responsibilities, hands-on testing and offshore team management activities to support and guide testing across multiple Client Delivery teams.

This opportunity is ideal for someone who has recently stepped into a team lead role, or a senior QE who is ready for the next step in their career.

This role isUK based, primarily remote working with some travel required to our London Office.

Essential

  • Proven ability to lead in delivering Quality within a fast-paced client-facing environment.
  • Previous experience of managing stakeholder and client relationships related to the delivery of high-quality deliverables.
  • Strong knowledge of API testing, integration testing and integration architecture.
  • Demonstrable experience of mentoring/ coaching QE’s
  • Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders (other teams, vendors, suppliers, etc.)
  • Strong client, team and stakeholder management skills.
  • Test management within an indirect UAT phase.
  • Exceptional organisation and prioritisation skills with a high focus on workload distribution.
  • A passion for continuous improvement.
  • Flexible, resilient and diplomatic. Commercial acumen coupled with a high degree of intellectual curiosity.
  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability.
  • Baseline understanding of Microsoft Azure.

  • Previous exposure working with a SaaS product, in a high growth company or in the insurance industry
  • Client-facing experience
