Overview:
The Instructional Designer creates learning and/or training environments and experiences. A significant component of this role is helping our medical and non-medical teams across the organization turn topics into engaging learner content. Instructional design and facilitation will be needed for virtual and in person sessions.
Responsibilities / Qualifications:
The primary functions of the Instructional Designer include:
Communication
Effectively communicates regularly and effectively with all stakeholders.
Seeks feedback from all relevant parties.
Clearly and succinctly summarizes feedback, observations, themes and potential solutions.
Works with a professional attitude creating an atmosphere that adheres to SVP’s mission and vision.
Excellent customer service skills to understand, adapt and meet the needs of stakeholders.
Ability to build credibility, trust, and rapport with stakeholders at all levels, both inside and outside of the organization.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Technical Skills
Understanding of varied learning styles.
Knowledge of assessment and evaluation methods.
Ability to facilitate content to a large audience, either in person or virtually.
Analyze existing instructional material.
Develop and design learning material and assessment tools.
Oversee implementation of learning programs.
Process Management
Utilizes tools and resources (including but not limited to Power BI, Canva, Loom, Google suite, Dropbox, etc.) to effectively manage the learning content.
Creates and shares accurate data with all stakeholders.
Work cross functionally with multiple departments to ensure content is applicable to the target audience and has a smooth launch.
Qualifications:
Excellent communication skills with demonstrated success tailoring messages to various audiences.
Previous experience in an education setting.
Previous experience with instructional design.
Self-starter who takes initiative and maintains excellent follow-through and follow-up.
Must be able to interact and collaborate effectively with corporate team.
Excellent time management skills. Able to prioritize and manage daily productivity with limited supervision.
High level of computer literacy. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and similar Google applications.
Strong attention to detail
This position requires some travel to facilitate in person content or participate in content planning meetings
Applicants can expect 10-20% travel annually
