Scope of Position: As Instructor, you will maintain a classroom conducive to learning. This includes facilitating curriculum with successful participant engagement and learning and modeling positive and professional behavior.
Responsibilities
· Create and maintain an environment that promotes opportunities for quality interaction and learning through:
o Establishing clear expectations and encouraging client accountability
o Implementing a structure and plan consistent with prescribed curriculum goals
o Maintaining an awareness of differences in individual learning styles and strengths
· Model positive and professional behavior
o Demonstrate positive, pro-social interactions with clients, staff and community representatives
o Use written and spoken language effectively
o Use language reflective of a commitment to diversity; demonstrate cultural competence
o Model respect and professionalism in all situations
· Facilitate orientation, as well as a variety of job readiness workshops for resume creation and interview prep, while adhering to standardized provided curriculum and scripts for service delivery
· Facilitate one-on-one and group workshops in both an in-person and virtual environment, utilizing platforms such as Microsoft Teams and Zoom
· When workshops are not in session, provide active support for other Center teams
· Maintain timely completion of required data tracking tools for all activities and outcomes, and be able to present and speak on progress to goal
· Connect and work closely with the Community Outreach and Workforce Development Specialists to strategically plan how to increase traffic to workshops
· Participate in required program and community meetings/events, which may require some local travel
· Create/maintain an environment that promotes opportunities for quality interaction and learning

· Utilize various methods of instruction to encourage attention and interest
· Maintain awareness of differences in individual learning styles and strengths, and utilize various materials to respond to them
· Support customers in online course registration and troubleshooting
· Assist customers with registration and attendance at offered workshops
· Record customer services and accurately document attendance in workshops
· Develop materials, manuals tests and related training aids
· Demonstrate allegiance to policies, procedures, and expectations of EDSI
Qualifications
· Experience in training, education or career development required
· Knowledge of best practices in designing and developing instructional courses, webinars, workshops and on-line programs.
· Able to interact with a wide variety of individuals and demonstrate a positive professional attitude
· Experience in a team-oriented environment
· Experience in e-learning design and utilizing technology related resources to foster learning
· High level of proficiency in computer programs/Microsoft Office applications
· Able to work fully onsite, fully remote, or in a hybrid environment
Required Education
· Bachelor’s degree and three years of work experience in human services or related experience
EDSI currently follows a hybrid work model for the Reemployment Transition Program. Based on client requests, customer needs, and policy changes, this work model is subject to change at any time.
