Director, Partner Marketing

Instructure’s partner program, The EdTech Collective, has more than 850 edtech company partners. With a larger partner community than any other LMS provider, Instructure’s ecosystem of complementary technologies—and recognized technology providers—deliver industry-leading resources for our customers. 


We are looking for a self-starter who can develop partner marketing strategies and collaborate with sales and product teams on go-to-market execution. This person will drive and execute regional demand generation activities with our partners, and implement partner marketing plans and campaigns in support of product launches, thought leadership, and brand awareness.


In this role, you will be responsible for planning and executing integrated marketing strategies across strategic partners and establishing a marketing plan to support the broader EdTech Collective partner ecosystem. You will work directly with our partners, in addition to working cross-functionally with our Communications, Lifecycle, Content, and Sales teams to amplify Instructure’s voice, footprint, and adoption through strategic partners.


The work you will do:
  • Evolve and execute partner marketing strategy in collaboration with key stakeholders, including partner management, sales, and demand generation. 
  • Own partner marketing activities, delivering business objectives such as pipe generation, within budget.
  • Support joint events and conferences: coordinate and participate in partner-related events, trade shows, conferences, and webinars. Collaborate with partners to plan, execute, and evaluate the success of joint marketing activities at these events.
  • Collaborate on joint marketing campaigns: Work with partners to develop joint marketing initiatives, campaigns, and programs that align with business objectives. Coordinate the creation of marketing materials, content, and assets for joint promotions.
  • Create partner marketing collateral: Develop and maintain a repository of marketing collateral, including partner-specific materials such as co-branded assets, case studies and success stories.
  • Build and maintain relationships: Externally cultivate and nurture relationships with existing partners to drive mutual success. Act as the primary marketing point of contact for partners, addressing inquiries, providing support, and ensuring effective communication. Internally work cross functionally with our peers, in field marketing, content marketing, campaigns, ops and digital marketing as well as sales and business development teams.
  • Monitor partner performance: Track and analyze partner performance metrics, such as lead generated and conversion. Regularly review performance reports, provide updates to stakeholders and provide actionable insights and recommendations to optimize partner marketing efforts.
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders and establish globally aligned partner sales and marketing plans with shared KPIs.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive partner marketing strategy aligned with the overall marketing and business goals.
  • Collaborate with partner sales teams and product marketing to identify target partner segments, market opportunities, and joint marketing objectives.
  • Develop partner marketing campaigns, programs, and assets to enable partners to effectively market and sell our products and solutions.
  • Provide guidance and support to partners on joint marketing initiatives, ensuring consistent messaging, branding, and execution.
  • Collaborate with partners to plan and execute joint marketing campaigns, events, webinars, and other demand generation activities.
  • Develop compelling co-marketing programs and collateral that highlight the value proposition of our joint solutions. Measure and analyze the effectiveness of joint marketing activities, provide insights, and continually optimize.


Requirements
  • Minimum of 7+ years of related partner demand generation and management; SaaS software industry and familiarity with the education market preferred
  • Proven experience building and executing multi-channel marketing programs to, through and with partners, based on a foundation of data and analysis; optimizing reach, awareness, and nurture, and adjusting for optimization
  • Strong stakeholder management skills including buy-in creation, pipe targets, budgets, with the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to think strategically, prioritize tasks, execute with attention to detail, and consistently meet deadlines
  • Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with all levels of management within Instructure and partner organizations.
  • Critical, analytical thinker with a proven ability to turn high-level business requirements into programs that include partners to drive customer engagement
  • Experience in balancing and executing multiple projects at a time in a cross-functional environment.


$110,000 - $140,000 a year
