We currently have an opportunity for a highly motivated professional to join our team. Responsibilities:

Verify insurance from patient referrals-
Ensure patient is within eligibility requirements (i.e. contracted with insurance network, home health, etc.).

Maintain effective and timely communication with staff in relation to their schedule with patients.

Maintains patient confidentiality with regard to medical records per company policies and procedures and assures compliance with all HIPAA guidelines.

Perform all intake procedures by supplying therapists with necessary paperwork for patient to complete.

Obtain all authorizations needed to treat patient.

Review for accuracy and completion, obtain copy of ID and insurance cards for patient chart.

Obtain all approvals to continue treatment of patient.

Timely processing, distribution and tracking of all documentation to obtain physician signature. (Plan of care, Recertifications, scripts etc)

Ensures all documentation completed in timely manner.

Communicate any customer service issues or customer service recovery needed to the program Director immediately.

Complete full intake of patient prior to first visit.

Assistance with administrative duties of the Billing Team

Assistance with credentialing needs

Research and resolve issues with payers presented from Billing
-
Working directly with Director of the program to ensure therapists are documenting timely.

Collect deductible, coinsurance, and copays from patients as needed.

Tracking MD certifications through fax and following up by phone.

Send out statements and answer patients’ questions.

Qualifications:
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.-
Knowledgeable and skilled in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Customer service skills.

2 + years of medical billing insurance experience.

Excellent organization and time management skills.

Knowledge of billing and insurance terminology.

Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.

Compliance focused and detail oriented.
-
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with team and customers.
