POSITION TITLE: INTERMEDIATE BUSINESS SYSTEMS ANALYST

DEPARTMENT: BISD - IM COMPLIANCE

POSITION SPECIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or Business or equivalent experience required
• Minimum two-five years systems analysis experience required
• Demonstrated problem solving abilities within an IT organization required
• Experience on team-oriented systems projects required
• Experience working with relational databases; writing Structured Query Language (SQL) required
• Experience working with MS Windows based applications required, advanced MS Excel skills preferred
• Demonstrate cooperative attitude and effective interpersonal and communication skills with clients and co-workers
• Financial services or securities industry experience required
• Experience eliciting and documenting requirements required
• Experience creating and executing test scripts required

MAJOR DUTIES:

• Solve business problems by performing business analysis, preparing specifications, and testing for relevant business process modifications, applications, and/or reporting enhancements.
• Develop, support, analyze, and maintain critical reports used by Compliance and other investment management personnel.
• Provide support for a critical application used by Compliance to monitor employee trading activity.
• Provide support for a critical application used by Compliance to monitor personal trading activity.
• Provide support for the Compliance rule-writing processes in the applicable Trade Order Management systems.
• Provide support for various other applications used by Compliance and Investment Management Administration.
• Work collaboratively with the business unit (Compliance / Investment Management Administration) to define business requirements and provide consultative support as needed regarding applications and business workflow.
• Serve as the lead analyst on various project initiatives where Compliance is either the sponsor or a key stakeholder.
• Work with technical and development staff to conduct unit, system, and user acceptance testing. This includes developing and publishing test specifications, preparing test data, and creating user acceptance testing documents.
• Prepare business and functional requirements documents and all other required documentation as outlined in Federated's Software Development Lifecycle Process.
• Provide hands-on support and training, as needed, to business users.

HOURS/LOCATION:

• 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. (over time as required)
• Hybrid schedule
