Intern: Product Manager - Projects (Fall 2023)

Position Description




The Product Manager Intern will be a part of our product management team, assisting with the development and execution of government grant projects, and the launch of new products in North America. This intern will work closely with the Product Manager – Projects and cross-functional teams including marketing, logistics, and sales to successfully bring new products to market.

Focus Areas:
Government Contract Process
  • Review and track government funding opportunities for District Sales Managers and Dealers by state or province
  • Notify District Sales Managers and Dealers about government funding opportunities that are open for submittal, along with due dates for submittal, and follow up with District Sales Managers and Dealers on status
  • Review and track government funding opportunities for Volvo Construction Equipment

Project Support
  • Assist in the development and execution of government projects for Volvo Construction Equipment

North America Launch Process
  • Assist in product documentation and track ongoing launch tasks to committed due dates
  • Follow up with responsible parties on closure dates
  • Participate in product team meetings and provide updates on progress and milestones

Working Environment:
  • The Product Manager Intern will work remotely and in an office setting, but may be required to attend meetings or events outside of regular office hours

Minimum Education Requirements:
  • Applicants must be currently enrolled and pursuing a degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering or a related field at an accredited university and have completed 30 semester hours prior to the start of the internship
  • Applicants must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.75

Additional Important Requirements:

For all intern and co-op positions, the hourly range is set at $16.00 - $46.00. The hourly rate for these roles is determined by several factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, academic classification, and degree seeking area of study. In addition to these factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as part of any final offer.
