Internal Auditor 3

Overview

The Internal Auditor 3 is responsible for the examination and evaluation of the adequacy and effectiveness of the company's governance risk management process and system of internal controls.

What you will be doing

  • Conduct complex analyses with minimal oversight from team members
  • Evaluate the reliability and integrity of financial and operating information based upon industry trends, authoritative literature and business objectives
  • Evaluate the systems established to ensure compliance with policies, plans, procedures, laws and regulations
  • Evaluate the means of safeguarding assets including verifying the existence of such assets
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of risk management systems
  • Provide support to external auditors, including performing walk-throughs and tests of controls
  • Maintain key relationships with line of business managers, internal partners and external auditors
  • Provide advisory services related to governance, risk management and internal controls; create process maps and recommend process improvements
  • Provide revenue recognition guidance, support and training to cross-functional organizations including Sales, Professional Services, Accounting/Finance and Legal
  • Compose internal documentation that details processes and findings
  • Identify and improve internal efficiencies
  • Provide guidance to other team members
  • Comply with all corporate and departmental privacy and data security policies and practices, including but not limited to, Hyland’s Information Systems Security Policy.

What will make you successful

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Experience as an Internal Auditor
  • Experience with GAAP, financial statements and internal controls
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong oral and written communications skills that demonstrate a professional demeanor and the ability to interact with others with discretion and tact
  • Highly organized and experienced at successfully multi-tasking
  • Demonstrated ability to operate at the highest level of integrity, professionalism, and forthrightness
  • Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Strong collaborative skills, applied successfully within team as well as with other areas
  • Demonstrated ability to articulate complex topics both verbally and in writing to diverse audiences
  • Detail oriented; regularly verifies all work thoroughly and efficiently to ensure accuracy
  • Or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the principal duties of the job
  • Up to 10% travel time required
  • Based on individual states’ employment laws, the following details are to comply with the relevant salary posting requirements: base salary range of $60,000-$90,000 and eligible for bonus and benefits
