INTERNSHIP:Technical Writer - Flexible start

Team introduction and overview

The ENOVIA Enablement team supports sales and tech sales teams with all of the learning and information resources needed to talk to prospective customers about the 3DEXPERIENCE platform and ENOVIA apps.

Specifically, the ENOVIA enablement team focuses on creating learning and sales effectiveness resources to ensure the sales and tech sales teams know how to position the 3DEXPERIENCE platform and ENOVIA apps for engineering and business users in every size company.

The enablement team has three areas of focus:

  • Content Creation
  • Content Development & Delivery
  • Operations & Project Management

Role & Responsibilities

The ENOVIA Enablement Technical Writer (intern) will be responsible for

  • Developing standard operating procedures
  • Developing business process workflows
  • Evaluating and synthesizing information into various formats
  • Creating infographics/visualizing information

The Challenges Ahead

  • Become a champion of the 3DEXPERIENCE platform and ENOVIA products
  • Deliver content in both written and digital media production formats
  • Find novel approaches to common problems
  • Adhere to DS and ENOVIA branding practices

Qualifications

Successful candidates will be/have:

  • Pursuing a graduate degree in technical writing, professional writing, industrial engineering or communications
  • Relevant, professional work experience in technical/software environments
  • Fluent English speaker
  • Proficiency in other languages a plus (especially French)
  • Able to work in the US without sponsorship
  • Ability to work 32-40 hours per week during internship

Proficiency in the following software tools:

  • MS Office (especially Word and PPT)
  • MS Outlook
  • Zoom and Skype
  • Adobe Illustrator, Spark, After Effects, Photoshop
  • Articulate360
  • Camtasia
  • Canva

The following areas are not required but nice to have:

  • Knowledge of product development, product engineering or manufacturing
  • Knowledge of databases
  • Knowledge of MBSE and “model-based” engineering

Personal Skills

  • Strong writing skills (both technical/step-by-step and creative)
  • Adjusting content to specific audiences
  • Localizing content for different geographies
  • Consultative approach/skilled at bringing others together, listening for needs and requirements and getting agreement
  • Adaptable and flexible; there are constant adjustments required to meet the needs of the ever-changing technology landscape; DS follows the DEV OPS approach to software development—in agile development environments product functionality expands every 8 weeks!
  • Organized and efficient; the ability to operate effectively with multiple competing priorities is crucial to success
