About the role
As the Senior Supplier Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring Invenco products are manufactured to required quality standards and that the correct controls are in place, working with our Contract Manufacturers. You’ll manage manufacturing process audits and drive supplier development and continuous improvement programs. As well as the management of Production Part Approval Process you will assist in New Product Introduction (NPI).
Here are some of the key responsibilities of the role.
Quality leadership
· Be the quality interface, representing Invenco at Contract Manufacturers and Suppliers
· Report reliable and dependable status updates of Invenco’s product manufacturing quality.
· Drive supplier quality systems/controls ensuring improved productivity and traceability.
· Lead supplier development program.
Quality engineering and product development
· Monitor, measure and analyze information pertaining to supplier quality systems & processes ensuring improved productivity, reliability and traceability.
· Coordinate and conduct supplier quality audits
· Manage Supplier Corrective Action Reporting (SCAR) system from its issuance to closure in a timely manner.
· Review, suggest and drive required improvements on PPAPs.
Compliance and Risk Assessment
· Support the implementation and maintenance of QMS
· Support compliance and security on-site audits at contract manufacturers to meet regulatory requirements for the local and global markets
· Manage supplier quality systems
Education and training
· Regularly provide awareness/training to contract manufacturers, suppliers and internal staff on Invenco supplier quality processes and requirements.
About your Experience
You’ll have worked in a similar role with 5 + years in Supplier Quality Engineering and have excellent knowledge of quality tools, contract manufacturing and how to get the best out of those relationships. You’ll have excellent interpersonal skills and an understanding of regulatory and legislation impacts on an organization.
Essential:
· 5+ years of relevant experience in Supplier Quality Engineering coupled with a relevant Bachelor’s Degree in science, technology or engineering.
· 5+ years of relevant experience with contract manufacturing (or EMS – Electronics Manufacturing Services).
· English speaking communication and analytical skills both written and verbal.
· Good knowledge of APQP, PPAP or similar quality tools.
· Experience in implementation and use of ISO 9001
· No restrictions to travel.
Desirable:
· Knowledge of payments compliances
· Membership to ASQ or equivalent professional body
· Training in programs such as Lean or Six Sigma such as Green or Black Belt
· An Electronics and/or Mechatronics background
