Investor Relations Intern - IL Chicago

Help tell the next chapter in our story. We are seeking a seeking a bright, energetic individual to join our team as an Investor Relations Intern for the 2023 summer internship program. The successful candidate will be an integral part of the corporate IR group and will support many strategic initiatives throughout the corporation. Located in downtown Chicago, this role will report to the VP of Finance, will work with all members of the team.

Expected responsibilities include:
  • Collaborate with internal business units in preparation of quarterly/annual earnings releases.
  • Assists in the creation of publications, script writing, discussion materials, presentations and press releases – including Q&A preparation, presentation and call.
  • Learn how to plan and manage the annual investor relations event calendar, including investor conferences, non-deal road shows, ratings agency presentations, the annual shareholder meeting, and quarterly earnings announcements
  • Manage IR email box and website content
  • Drive process improvement around communications strategy and design
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned

At the end of the internship, it is anticipated that the intern will have learned the following:

  • A general understanding of the corporate Investor Relations function
  • Key metrics used by management.
  • Gain exposure to financial analysis and modeling to support business needs.
Position Requirements:
• Minimum junior year completion with a progressive matriculation towards a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, or Accounting at an accredited college or university.
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred.
  • No prior work experience necessary, introductory Finance classes are required.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, technical and technological skill.
  • Work well with other members of a team and possess excellent communication abilities and intellectual curiosity.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks with a high degree of accuracy
  • Open to new challenges and business environments
  • MS Excel and Word proficiency is a highly preferred.
