Job OverviewThe US & Canada RBU has an exciting opportunity available for a Director of Sales Operations. The dynamic and ambitious individual selected for this role will have the opportunity to learn about the MedTech & Commercial Field Solutions (CFS) business as they lead a team supporting the integration of CFS onto IQVIA systems.This role will work closely with the CFS Practice leader and Sales Leader, the MedTech Strategic Operations Director, and the finance team as they drive operational improvements and new ways of working across the group.Essential Functions :• Understands functional strategy, markets and goals and translates those into proactive operational plans to enable successful achievement of business results.• Provides financial and operational support for the head of a major group on deal / proposal construction and pricing and pipeline management.• Drives and leads the effective implementation of operations initiatives such as customer relationship management, customer satisfaction program and infrastructure projects.• Assists the function in opportunity management tracking providing frequent reports on various cycles, reporting progress and highlighting potential risks on opportunities.• Proactively works to remove issues hindering the implementation of operations initiatives ensuring coordination between local and regional operations teams.• Coordinates operations activities with other functions including service, consulting, business lines and sales, as appropriate.• Actively contributes to operations initiatives throughout region making recommendations, highlighting how local issues should be addressed.• As needed, provides directorate level analytical support at a local level.• Provides executive reports to the regional management team on local key potential issues and analysis and trends on specific areas.Key Responsibilities :• Assessment of current Operational activities to identify & support the transition of non-core sales operational activities to appropriate places within the broader organization over time, including but not limited to payroll, AR, CRM administration, tableau site administration and analytics, rebate & cost project modeling and client SIP for Inside Sales roles.• Assist with the transition to PSA systems, IQVIA CRM and BI tools• Implement process improvements initiatives working closely with the broader Commercial Operations functions to standardize and optimize processes wherever possible.• Contract & pricing oversight including monthly audits on rates / fees to ensure accordance with contracts. Maintain all pricing and negotiable threshold limits.• Maintain existing commercial and client analytics until transition to Analytics Hub• Evaluate reporting needs and KPI’s and work with the Analytics Hub to productionize reporting wherever possible and provide dashboards and predictive modeling as appropriate.• Responsible for revenue forecasting including ownership of the forecasting model, trends analysis, risk and opportunity identification and report outs to leadership.• Pipeline reporting and renewal tracking / contract support• Provide support for all SIPs including quota creation, quarterly data pull and analysis of performance.• Support the MedTech management team with analytics, reporting and Business Line / OR review prep as needed.• Post integration and steady state look to evaluate and make recommendations on other support needs within the broader CSMS organization.Required skills :• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent• Demonstrated experience in Finance, Business Operations, Project Management or Consulting• At least 8 years of relevant work experience• Possesses a full understanding of the organizational structure, products, services, systems and ways of working• Have a strategic mindset, as well as strong critical thinking, problem solving and project management skills• Understanding of general finance, including profit and loss, balance sheet and cash-flow management• Knowledge of business and management principles - including planning process, review, coordination of people and resource and operational success measures• Organized and detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize• Ability to manage resources and multiple projects simultaneously under pressure and within deadlines• Excellent analytical, quantitative and communication / relationship building skills• Familiarity with SAP, PeopleSoft, Hyperion, SFDC & PSA , BI tools (Tableau preferred)• Working Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Particularly Excel and PowerPoint)IQVIA is a leading global provider of advanced analytics, technology solutions and clinical research services to the life sciences industry.We believe in pushing the boundaries of human science and data science to make the biggest impact possible to help our customers create a healthier world.
