The Revenue Manager will be responsible for reviewing contracts, performing SSP (Standalone Selling Price) analysis, managing services revenue recognition, and ensuring accurate month-end close activities. This role will also focus on compliance with ASC 606 and work closely with cross-functional teams including sales operations and professional services to ensure accurate financial reporting. The Revenue Manager will report to the Director of Revenue and contribute to the company’s growth by improving revenue-related processes.
Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive reviews of contracts and sales agreements to ensure proper revenue recognition, in accordance with ASC 606.
Perform SSP analysis and allocation for multiple-element arrangements.
Manage the revenue recognition process for services, ensuring proper classification and timing of revenue.
Collaborate with the professional services team to track project milestones and recognize revenue in line with service delivery.
Lead the month-end revenue close process, ensuring accurate financial reporting and reconciliations.
Partner with sales operations and the go-to-market teams to streamline deal reviews and ensure compliance with company policies.
Prepare and present monthly financial close packages to senior management.
Serve as a key contact for external auditors during reviews and audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations related to revenue recognition.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and scalability in revenue recognition practices.
Requirements And Preferred Experience
BA/BS degree in accounting or finance required.
CPA preferred
5+ years of experience in revenue recognition, preferably within the SaaS industry.
In-depth knowledge of ASC 606 and related revenue recognition principles.
Experience with SSP analysis, multi-element arrangements, and services revenue recognition.
Strong attention to detail and ability to handle complex contracts and revenue scenarios.
Experience with ERP systems like NetSuite and Salesforce is a plus.
Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally.
Proven ability to manage month-end close processes and meet tight deadlines.

Base Salary Range: $110,000 - $130,000
The base salary range represents the minimum and maximum of the salary range for this position based at our San Francisco headquarters. The actual base salary offered for this position will depend on numerous factors, including individual proficiency, anticipated performance, and the location of the selected candidate.
