I2X Technologies is seeking a Junior Network Systems Engineer to support ongoing activities for a customer in Colorado Springs, CO. This position will be on-site and will require an active Secret Clearance. 

• As a Network SE, the Network SE shall act as a Junior Engineer and will help develop and implement the Network Systems Engineering Plan
• The Networks SE will act as a liaison with other Network SE between the Networks ART and the Systems Engineering, Integration, and Test (SEIT) Resource Managed Area (RMA) and ensure that all processes and procedures are aligned and standardized.
• Help with all Networks requirements activities to include identification and management of Networks requirements baseline.
• Help support the development and review of system engineering artifacts (e.g. specifications, Interface Control Documents, Use Cases, System Architecture Descriptions, Trade Studies, etc.) and author/perform formal and informal engineering review as required.
• Responsible for helping develop high-level design material to be incorporated into existing baseline

Qualifications

• The position requires a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline (i.e. EE, CIS, CPE, MIS, IT), or equivalent experience/combined education, with 2 years of professional experience; or 0 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree.
• The position requires an IAT Level II 8570 Compliant Certification such as Security+, GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, GSE, SCNA, etc. with in 60 days of starting.
• The position requires a government security clearance (DoD Secret – minimum, Top Secret - desired)
• Understanding of systems engineering process and principles.
• Experience with system engineering principles to develop product solutions.
• Experience working in an integrated team environment with other systems, software and specialty engineers to develop solutions.
• Experience developing system engineering artifacts (e.g. specifications, Interface Control Documents, Use Cases, System Architecture Descriptions, Trade Studies, etc.).
• Experience working within an Agile development environment.
• Demonstrated experience working large multi-site software development efforts including external interface development.
• Demonstrated experience conducting or leading Analysis of Alternatives, Trade Studies and/or Design Evaluations.
• Experience in model-based systems engineering (MBSE) and MBSE tools
• Excellent communications skills are required (written and oral) as is the ability to communicate effectively and clearly present technical approaches and findings.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will regularly sit, walk, stand and climb stairs and steps. May require walking long distance from parking to work station. Occasionally, movement that requires twisting at the neck and/or trunk more than the average person, squatting/ stooping/kneeling, reaching above the head, and forward motion will be required. The employee will continuously be required to repeat the same hand, arm, or finger motion many times. Manual and finger dexterity are essential to this position. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, depth perception and telling differences among colors. The employee must be able to communicate through speech with clients and public. Hearing requirements include conversation in both quiet and noisy environments. Lifting may require floor to waist, waist to shoulder, or shoulder to overhead movement of up to 20 pounds. This position demands tolerance for various levels of mental stress.
