POSITION INFORMATION:
The IT Assistant will provide reliable support of the company’s computer network, hardware, software, and resolution of help desk tickets. Duties performed in conjunction with the IT Manager include installing, configuring, and updating hardware and software; establishing and maintaining user accounts; assistant backup and recovery tasks; monitoring and implementing security controls; and creating and maintaining documentation. This position will respond to and resolve help desk tickets, troubleshoot problems, provide technical expertise and support internal users.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide technical support across the company in person for local and remote employees
- Respond in a timely manner to service issues and requests
- Monitor and maintain computer systems
- Repair and replace equipment as necessary
- Install and configure computer hardware, software, systems, printers and scanners
- Troubleshoot and resolve common printer issues, wireless devices, desktops and laptops.
- Maintain an accurate device and equipment inventory
- Setup and manage end users in a VoIP phone system
- Assist with after-hours IT projects (planned system upgrades, hardware replacements, etc.) as needed
QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or equivalent. Associate’s degree in computer information technology preferred. Ability to communicate well orally and in writing. Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical people. Professional appearance and dress. Must speak clearly on the telephone and convey an image of professionalism and competence to callers. Ability to work with detailed information under considerable time limitations and with minimal supervision. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Thorough working knowledge of all Microsoft Office Software. Will be trained on appropriate dealership computer systems. Must be able to travel at least 50% of the time. Must have a valid driver’s license. Must be able to pass pre-employment drug test and criminal background check.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
The IT Assistant may occasionally need to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 50 pounds. S/he will occasionally move about the service and parts areas. S/he will be exposed to noise, vibration, paint, dust, exhaust fumes and other hazardous and nonhazardous materials. Will stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, handle, feel, and reach. Weekend, evening and holiday hours will be required on occasion.
