IT Business Analyst II

The Business Analyst provides technical, and business-process support for Benchmade applications and systems. The Business Analyst leads and coordinates small to medium sized technology projects. This role works closely with the Technical Product Manager, business stakeholders and the broader information technology team. This role will lead the development of user requirements, epics, stories and use cases.
Responsibilities:
  • Works closely with business stakeholders to evaluate process needs, gaps, and pain points
  • Elicits, analyzes, and documents functional requirements for supported applications
  • Leads small to medium technology projects and plays a specialist/analyst role on multiple simultaneous projects
  • Collaborates with internal and external software developers to create software solutions
  • Provides detailed implementation support for assigned projects, including coordinating cutover, conversion, and integration testing.
  • Maintains positive, open lines of communication with IT and business stakeholders
  • Provides ongoing technical and business-process support for key applications/systems
  • Troubleshoots technical and process related issues using critical think skills along with data analysis with tools such as SQL, Excel, Tableau
  • Designs, develops, and delivers training as necessary to support enterprise applications
  • Utilizes agile project tools, such as Jira, to manage the delivery of technical products
  • Works with TPM and other stakeholders to define acceptance criteria and prioritize product backlogs
Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or other business-related degree, and 2+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Business Systems Analyst or Technical Product Owner
  • 2+ years working as an IT analyst supporting a manufacturing company
  • 2+ years participating in software development project
  • Experience using, integrating with, or implementing ERP Software, preferably SYSPRO
  • Critical systems thinker and problem solve
  • Excellent communicator, obsessed with crafting clarity and keeping team members aligned
  • Developer of clear technical documentation for process/system designs and user procedures
  • Understanding of key business process and data flows
  • Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle methodologies
  • Strong business acumen
  • Data analysis skillsLeadership and interpersonal skills. Builds consensus and enthusiasm among teammates and business stakeholder
  • Ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, including executives, managers, and the user community at large
  • Highly self-motivated, self-directed, and attentive to detail
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-paced environment
Working Conditions:
  • Working Environment: Hybrid (Remote + Office) position in a manufacturing facility (located in Oregon City, OR)
  • Physical Demands: Lifting up to 25 lbs.; sitting for extended periods of time; data entry for extended periods of time, option to stand with a sit/stand desk
  • Travel Requirements: As needed, less than 5% of the time
