IT Project Analyst

Job Summary:

Are you interested in starting at the ground level with a unique opportunity to be part of the building phase of an IT Project Management Office?”

The new PMO’s core responsibility is the creation and maintenance of standards for project management within BRG’s IT department. The PMO team will implement a standardization and introduce economies of repetition in the execution of projects, will be the source of documentation, guidance, and metrics on the practice of project management and execution, and will maintain reporting functionality through Power BI dashboards.

The Project Analyst’s responsibilities include supporting project managers and other team members in planning, executing, and monitoring projects. Their main responsibilities include analyzing project data and information to identify trends, risks, and opportunities; developing project plans and schedules; tracking project progress and milestones; and communicating project updates and status reports to stakeholders.

In addition to these core duties, project analysts may also be involved in conducting research, gathering requirements, coordinating project resources, managing project budgets, and performing other tasks that help ensure successful project delivery. The right candidate must be detail-oriented, an analytical thinker, with strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain project scope, goals, deliverables, and templates for a variety of project types to include implementation of new technologies, software & hardware deployments, new business intake, data migrations and office space construction.
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources, and provide regular project status updates to stakeholders.
  • Identify potential risks and issues and develop mitigation strategies to minimize the impact on the project.
  • Coordinate project team activities, assign tasks, and monitor progress to ensure the timely delivery of project milestones.
  • Facilitate meetings, including project kick-off, status, and stakeholder meetings, and ensure all parties are informed and engaged.
  • Identify project problems, shortfalls, resource constraints, and provide supporting data to the project managers for resolution.
  • Develop and maintain project documentation, including project charters, status reports, change requests, and risk management plans.
  • Communicate effectively with all stakeholders, including project managers, team members, vendors, and customers to develop actionable insights.
  • Manage project budgets, approve project expenditures, and track actuals against the budget.
  • Continuously improve project management processes and methodologies to increase efficiency and effective.

Additional Skills (nice to have):

  • Experience with Microsoft Power BI, to include creating reports and dashboards.
  • Experience with Microsoft Project for the Web, Project Online and Project Web Application.
  • Familiarity with project management tools and software, including project management software, Gantt charts, and risk management tools.
  • Information Technology background. A general understanding of corporate network infrastructure.
  • Experience with Microsoft Teams Room hardware deployment.
  • Project management certification, such as PMP.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Project Management, Business Administration, a related field, or comparable military experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in project management, preferably in technology or software development.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects, including managing budgets and timelines.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills. Exceptional research and reporting skills.
  • Flexible to work long hours as required to meet project deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment with complete ownership.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Power Point, Visio, Project for Web, Project Online, Power BI, Power BI Report Building.
  • The position will be virtual, but IT personnel are required to support clients in all BRG locations globally, including personnel and independent contractors working remotely.
  • IT personnel may be required to travel for short periods of time. Trips will sometimes extend to 5 working days and could on occasion extend beyond 5 business days. All travel expenses will be reimbursed.

Salary Range: $90,000-$120,000 per year.
