IT Project Manager (Contract)

About the Role

IT Project Manager is part of the IT PMO group and reports into Program Manager, Enterprise Applications. This role is highly cross functional and will be required to partner and work across various departments and third-party vendors.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, coordinating, and leading all project activities between internal cross functional teams (IT and Business) and vendors. Will be expected to manage 2-3 projects at any given time. Specific experience handling SAP ERP systems in the Retail sector as well as other product management and finance systems related to Order Management, Inventory, Procurement, Accounting and Finance is highly desirable.

• Managing multiple cross functional initiatives simultaneously spanning multiple departments in a hybrid project environment.
• Leading project management activities such as project planning, creation of work breakdown structures, and change control.
• Driving SIT and UAT planning, and execution efforts
• Acting as a lead communicator to internal and external stakeholders regarding scope, timelines, risks & issues, resolutions, and prioritization
• Responsible for project data accuracy in Smartsheet and generating weekly status dashboards for email distribution to key stakeholders.
• Responsible for full project life cycle ownership: successful delivery includes full implementation from initiation to deployment of multiple initiatives simultaneously.
• Understanding the interdependencies between technology, operations, and business needs.
• Taking time to understand and learn the business process, reach out to the experts, ask the right questions, and prioritize and perform necessary follow-up to resolve issues.
• Adhering to Ariat PMO processes and complete necessary project documentation and gain approvals throughout the project lifecycle.

About You

• 5+ years of project management experience leading multiple cross functional initiatives (end to end) simultaneously in a hybrid project environment.
• Experience in SAP Environment, supporting Enhancements and Data Migration projects.
• Tools: Smartsheet, JIRA, Microsoft Project experience is a must.
• Comfortable with technical and non-technical lingo. Ability to translate technical jargon to business speak.
• A self-starter who is energetic, enthusiastic, adaptable, and a customer-oriented team player
• Excellent time management, communication (written, verbal and presentation) and interpersonal skills.
• Experience negotiating, influencing, and gaining buy-in from business stakeholders, team members, and peers.
• Experience leading project meetings comprising of technical and non-technical team members.
• Demonstrated ability to bring structure to ambiguous environments and work well with people at all levels of the organization.

The hourly range for this position is $75 - $80 per hour.

The salary is determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data for geographic locations. Ariat in good faith believes that this posted compensation range is accurate for this role at this location at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.
