Overview:
What We Need
NetBrain is seeking a dedicated, proactive IT Security Engineer with 4-8 years of relevant experience in managing system and network security. In this role, you will help design, implement and maintain the security posture of our organization's IT infrastructure, including both on-premise and cloud environments. You will be responsible for deploying and maintaining the tools used for identifying, responding to, and preventing IT security breaches. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in the latest security standards, systems, and authentication protocols, as well as in network and security infrastructure design.
What You'll Do:
- You will partner with IT to evaluate the NetBrain control environment, provide recommendations on how best to address control gaps, then implement and manage security systems across our on-premise and cloud-based environments in accordance with a defined security and technology road map.

Assist IT with asset management efforts through the use of security tools, and lead efforts in hardening configurations across all network-connected devices.

Partner with leadership to educate staff in global offices in security best practices and requirements laid out in NetBrain security and technology policies and standards.

Develop reports on the effectiveness of implemented controls.

Configure and maintain security infrastructure such as firewalls, EDR/XDR, vulnerability management tools, patch management systems, etc.

Use network analysis tools to identify and mitigate security risks within the company.

Collaborate with data owners to manage the lifecycle of cyber security policies and standards.

Collaborate with data owners to integrate company’s security policies and standards into their day-to-day workflows.

Configure and manage Office365 security and use its Conditional Access to manage other company's applications access control.

Develop and update business continuity and disaster recovery protocols.

Remain up-to-date on the latest information technology trends and security standards.
Who You Are:

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field.

At least 4 years of experience in an IT security role, with strong knowledge of how to deploy defenses in depth across a network and associated hosts.

Direct experience in the execution of a vulnerability management program.

Awareness of the business impact of security decisions.

Certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), or Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) are highly desired.

Experience building a centralized log management solution.

Experience with cloud security environments, including AWS, Google Cloud, or Microsoft Azure.

Experience in direct end-user support, help desk, or tier 1 IT support.

Proficient in scripting languages such as Python, Shell, or Perl.
