Overview:
What We Need
Our Information Technology department is looking for an IT Security Intern to provide technical knowledge in assessing new IT software projects and initiatives to support and enhance our existing systems. This is a full-time (40 hours a week) M-F position and is located on-site in our Burlington, MA office for the fall '23 semester. Open to co-ops who are available to work both fall '23 and spring '24.

What You'll Do:
  • You will troubleshoot IT/Security incidents in a ticketing system and collaborate with other team members.
  • Manage the corporate infrastructure includes but not limited to Active Directory, CrowdStrike, Zoom, Dropbox, Office 365, Confluence, etc.
  • Investigate and remediate threats detected by CrowdStrike Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR) and Microsoft Advanced Threat Analytics.
  • Perform complex analysis of the risk of security exceptions through the data security plan process.
Who You Are:
  • Must be pursuing a BS/MS/Ph.D. in Computer Science, Information System, or related field.
  • Familiar with Python script language.
  • Familiar with Office 365 Security and Compliance Centers is a plus.
  • Understanding of security-related protocols and their usage (e.g., TLS, SSH, IPsec, etc.)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
  • Ability to multi-task, self-assign work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Have work experience with one or more of the following:
    • Active Directory, Azure, SCCM, DNS, DHCP, Vulnerability Management
    • Anti-virus software, intrusion detection, firewalls, and content filtering
    • Risk assessment tools, technologies, and methods
    • Panning, researching, and developing security policies, standards, and procedures
