Senior Data Analyst - 9 month FTC

As a Senior Data Analyst, you will be responsible for analysing data and generating insights to support the company's decision-making processes and review performance You will work with stakeholders from across the business and play a key role in prioritising needs from the business in terms of analytical support and data requirements. You will be a member of the BI Team, responsible for leveraging our data into reporting and analysis used widely across the business.

You will be able to drive commercial decision-making across the business and act as a strategic enabler to senior stakeholders. You will have a track record in being able to manage, engage and be a subject matter expert within Power BI. You will be experienced in your field, comfortable with assisting, mentoring, and educating more junior members of the team. You will have well-developed experience in visualizing and analysing data and be skilled in using a wide range of analytical tools.

·       Location – BL9 8RR

·       Working rota –  Monday-Friday

·       Working hours –  40 hours

What You'll Be Doing: 

  • You will high strategic and commercial understanding of the business impacts of the projects and work you are delivering.
  • Define and then report on key metrics relating to areas including trading, operations, merchandising and finance with a view to aligning these with the overall business objectives.
  • A strong understanding of analytical and visualisation tools (previous experience using Power BI).
  • Experience in providing a range of outputs for the development of new reports and dashboards to meet the requirements of partners.

What We're Looking For:

  • You will ideally have a background working in Retail or come from a customer facing business area.
  • You will have led and owned data analysis, reporting or projects and will be comfortable in owning pieces of work and driving them forward.
  • You will be able to take a piece of work from end to end, including stakeholder-facing requirements gathering, data collection, manipulation and transformation and then building reports to answer business questions.
  • You will have advanced knowledge of Power BI and SQL, with an understanding of Power BI end to end service, deployment and features within large organisations and Power BI user base.
