Software Build/Install Engineer Jitterbit is seeking a software build/install engineer to join our Platform team. Jitterbit is automation company that provides a Unified AI Infused Low-code platform that consist of iPaaS (Integration as a Service) API Management, LCAP(Low-code Application Platform), EDI in a single unified platform which has been recognized in Gartner MQ for ten straight years. Our customers utilize our Low-code iPaaS, APIM, LCAP, and B2B platform to address mission-critical business automation challenges. What is our challenge? To make it easy to automate our customers’ systems. In order to do this, we need to build and create a SaaS offering that is reliable, stable, and scalable for our customers. We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Software Build and Install Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust build and deployment systems to ensure efficient software delivery. You will play a key role in enabling development teams by automating processes, managing software installations, and ensuring the reliability of build pipelines. You will help us build one of the most effective build systems, designed to be easy for our customers to use. You will work with the most modern and advanced technology stack.. You will have full lifecycle responsibilities to create robust, scalable build systems. We are looking for:
● 10+ years of experience in building large scale distributed applications.
● Strong experience building multi-tenant SaaS applications
● Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills with great attention to detail
● Experience with Microservices and Cloud-based architectures/design patterns
● Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an emphasis on automation.
Technical Skills and Experience:
●Must HaveExperience with software packaging and installation tools (e.g., RPM, InstallShield, NSIS, or WiX Toolset).
● Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions.
● Proficiency in build tools such as CMake, Make, Gradle, Maven, or similar.
● Solid understanding of operating systems, including Linux, Windows, and macOS.
● Strong knowledge of scripting languages such as Bash, PowerShell or Python.
● Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and branching strategies.
● Familiar with application deployment via Docker and/or Kubernetes.
● Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
● Familiar with Java is a plus
● Experience with top tier RDBMS such as SQL Server and MySQL is a plus
